The high cost of low fidelity

For all my faults and obsessions, I've never been an audiophile (although I did finally splurge on a pair of really nice Bose headphones---and I know there's no turning back from here.)

Anyway, one of the things that doesn't often get mentioned about the MP3 revolution that's happening is that the sound quality is so compromised. Here's a well-written case for holding onto your high-end stereo equipment.
