Usually "HMR productivity" is an oxymoron. But I'm highly caffeinated and on my third post of the morning, so let's keep going.
Joe alerts me to the fact that Josh Ritter--another guy who can write political without making people gag--has a new album coming out. This is 1. very exciting, because he writes incredible songs (and albums!), and 2. frustrating, because his last album is so good and fresh and potent that I'm still trying to fully digest it. It's probably the best album of last year (that isn't Secret Doors.)
He's from Idaho, spent some time in Boston, and he's already huge in Ireland. If commercial success doesn't come for a guy this talented, then something is very wrong with our country (or yet another thing is very wrong with our country.)
