Living in California for 15+ years makes watching snow fall less poetic than you'd think, actually.
My galpal and I live in Boston now, Brighton to be a little more precise. It's nice. HMR crew becoming centralized becomes more and more of a reality and less and less of a dream every day. Jerry and Leo have said hello. The rest of the jerks that post here have not. Bummer.
Oh. Yeah. The reason I'm posting here. There is an actual reason, I promise:
I'm playing with a new band called Luau, with some of the kids from Bravo Fucking Bravo. We have nothing recorded yet, but if you consider their last band and my last band, and then set it to a d-beat, you should have a general idea of what it sounds like. We're playing our first show Friday Feb 15 at Dos Amigos burrito shop in Dover NH. If any of you New England heads want to have your ears bleed, you're encouraged to come out and say hello. charlie, jerry said your new band was going to be more sludge doom sounding. what's the deal? although i suppose some kind of crusty punk (or d-beat or whatever) will do.
there's a sludge-y band here in ann arbor that kinda sounds like cult of luna mixed with some other bands. they are pretty good. you should check their full length out, if it ever gets released.
