I couldn't be happier for these people. I know absolutely nothing about the label, but they've put out stuff by Yo La Tengo, Evan Dando, Of Montreal, etc. etc.
Regardless, I couldn't be happier that they're getting so much attention, and they deserve everything. Caleb is a genius, John singlehandedly introduced me to indie music, Jason was a great neighbor and friend. I've never met their bassist but I'm sure he's a nice fellow. Plus, as just a fan of music, it's cool to see a band that you've loved for years get bigger and bigger.
Congratulations to them and to all the people who are going to get to hear their music because of this. You're in for a treat.

dude, that is awesome. i guess my days of lavish parties at the starling electric crib are over. okay, so maybe it was one time. but that has more to do with my own hangups than anything else. great work starling electric!
I've never met their bassist either.
